Silicon Valley Community is the non-profit extension of Ding Ding TV – The voice of Silicon Valley Asian Americans. We have a long and unique history of serving the community.

Our studio has been a community events center since 2011, and we have hosted nearly 100 events each year. Our events have empowered the AAPI community by changing hearts and minds, inspiring empathy, and meaningful social action.

OUR PROUD HISTORY

2009, Started weekly Innovation Dialog TV Show on KCNS and KTSF. Released weekly newsletter sending Asian-American news from Silicon Valley.

2010, Started building community partners through events. Live-streamed American Cancer Society Relay For Life with 20,000+ audience and raised over $6,300 donation from the online audience.

2011, Organized Silicon Valley Food & Art Festival in Cupertino Memorial Park with 3000 attendees. Opened Ding Ding TV Studio for community networks and events. Expanded our audience to diverse communities.

2012, started monthly Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Forum at Ding Ding TV studio to connect investors and startups. The 12 Entrepreneur Forum partnered with 6 speakers from Acorn Campus, and created 97 videos, with 700+ entrepreneur attendees. Received the most distinguished TV show Award(Innovation Dialog) from Northern California Chinese Media Association.

2013, Created “Battle Silicon” TV Show; A Silicon Valley version of “Shark Tank”. Built a multicultural startup community; the “Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Club”, with over 500 members. “Battle Silicon” won the best TV show of 2013 from Northern California Chinese Media Association.

2014, Ding Ding TV was awarded The Best New Media by the Northern California Chinese Media Association. We Distributed “Innovation Dialog” to 4 local TV channels in Cupertino, San Jose, Mountain View, Milpitas, and Palo Alto. Started monthly Chinese Movie Night at Cupertino Blue Light cinema, offering free tickets to the community. Live-streamed Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders Annual International Leadership Alumni Conference.

2015, The Silicon Valley Food and Art festival attracted over 5000 attendees, 30+ restaurants, and 200+ artists performing at Cupertino Memorial Park. We organized the quarterly Silicon Valley Business Forums and partnered with the Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce, providing training and business opportunities to small business owners. Ding Ding TV was awarded the Business of the year 2015 by the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce.

The Silicon Valley Food and Art festival attracted over 5000 attendees, 30+ restaurants, and 200+ artists performing at Cupertino Memorial Park. We organized the quarterly Silicon Valley Business Forums and partnered with the Silicon Valley Central Chamber of Commerce, providing training and business opportunities to small business owners. Ding Ding TV was awarded the Business of the year 2015 from the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce.

2016, Presented the annual Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Festival, created a platform for entrepreneurs, investors, and small business owners to connect and support each other with 2000+ attendees, 150 speakers, 103 videos, 50+ articles, and 180 social media posts. The Ding Ding TV team went to Tulare, and became the 1st Chinese language media to cover the World AG Expo.

2017, Created quarterly Civic Leadership Forum Silicon Valley, inviting diverse community leaders, elected officials, next-generation Asian-Americans, and ethnic group leaders to the roundtable discussion on important civic issues.

2018, Traveled to Washington DC to report National United Chinese Americans Conference. Interviewed 20+ congressional leaders and presidential candidates.

2019, Set Social entrepreneurship as the theme for Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Festival, to inspire the entrepreneur’s social responsibility and social engagement. Became co-organizer of the National Civic  Leadership Forum in Washington DC. Organized press conference at Capitol Hill.

2020, Promoted 2020 Census for Santa Clara County. Delivered the service within the budget and on time. Organized “In Time of Covid-19” Video competition. “Light the Candle In The Darkness” for the community during the pandemic – Telling stories about generosity, heroism, kindness, and outstanding services. Organized 4 youth community ambassador training summer camps. After receiving formal professional training from Ding Ding Tv, our 42 youth community ambassadors had the opportunity to conduct formal interviews with the different community members.

2021, Started Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Club and Asian-Americans Network on Clubhouse with the weekly talk show. Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Club has 3500 members, while Asian-Americans Network has over 1000 members. Organized “Stop Asian Hate, What We Can Do Together” roundtable forum on Clubhouse with 800 attendees. Created “Culture Dialogue Between Asian and African-American Communities,” “Voters Education – Your Vote Is Your Voice,” and workshop between parents and teens – “How To Talk So Teens Will Listen.”  500 parents joined us to listen to our young mentors and learn how to communicate better with their teens.
